How to use this site

Membership
It is not necessary to be a member of this site to view the information presented here, but if you want to participate fully by posting messages and adding events to the calendar then you will need to become a member.  Just click the Register link and answer a few short questions.  

Once you have registered, you can login with your user name and password. Emails will be sent to members from time to time, but you can change your profile settings to opt out if you desire.

Home Page
The Home page displays useful site information, upcoming events and links to emergency services.  At the top of the page is the Main Menu which is used to navigate to other parts of the site.

Forum
The forum allows members to post new topics and reply to topics posted by other members.  Guests can read the posts but will not be able to post.  Several boards are available for viewing and/or posting and others can be added as needed.  The forum is where most of the action is at and you should visit it often.

Search
You can use the search feature to search the forum for topics of interest.

Profile
If you are logged in you can edit your profile and personalize your account with an avatar, signature, etc. (ONLY FOR REGISTERED USERS)

HOW TO ADD YOUR PERSONAL PICTURE
One way to personalize your presence on the site is to use an avatar.  An avatar is a image used to identify you and can either be a cartoon character or a photo. Our site gives you the option to use no avatar, the picture of a famous singer or actor, a graphic image or a picture of yourself.  If you use an avatar it will be displayed in all your posts.

Click on the Profile link at the top of the page then click on Forum Profile. Go to the Personalize Picture section and click Upload Avatar.  Click the Browse button and find the desired photo.  Finally go to the bottom of the page and click the Change Profile button to save your changes.

If your photos are stored on a photo sharing site like PhotoBucket then click Specify avatar by URL, enter the URL and click Change Profile.

My Messages
Send and receive private messages to other registered memberss.

Calendar
Use the calendar to view up comming events and birthdays. (YOU MUST BE REGISTERED TO POST TO THE CALENDAR)

Members
Registered members can click here to see a list of all the other members.  You can send messages to other members and add them to your Buddy List.
